Creating Sacred Space with Smudging 
Smudging, a common practice among Native people, is a traditional cleansing of energy that is done by burning a sage stick or a combination of herbs and sage. Smudging is believed to clear negative energies and replace them with a sense of peace and relaxation. The smudging sage stick is burned and the resulting smoke is fanned, over the person or the area to be cleansed, with a feather fan. Native people believe that prayers and thoughts that go into the smoke are carried to the Creator. Each piece may be purchased individually or buy the complete kit.
